That's gotta be at least worth a wish and a half, or a Dilly Bar at DQ or somethin'. It's not every day you find a grotesque severed claw on the sidewalk!

My friend found a bizarre latex mutant octopus on the sidewalk last year...that was a rare find! He actually made a short film with it.

It was pouring rain yesterday and I found all sorta crazy stuff on the walk home, my favorite being this 2foottall plush stuffed-penguin doorstopper with a handle sticking through his head. I didn't have my camera on me, but this disgusting claw was close enough to home that i could grab the digicam and head back out.

I wonder if it belongs to one of those raccoons I saw near your house last June? Raccoons are notorious for knife fights! Or maybe two raccoons got in an argument and one of them claimed "you'd best watch yourself...I'm a wanted man on 12 systems" and out came the light sabre and next thing you know, there's a severed limb! (Severed limbs are a registered trademark of George Lucas, all rights reserved.)

In other strange news, the people that I'll likely be hitching a ride to Toronto with the first weekend in May are also staying with a Mike Wood. I'd be funny if he was an evil or bizarro world version of you, but with a pointy goatee. If there's one thing I learned from watching Star Trek, it's that pointy goatees are a great way to differntiate between good and evil versions of someone. Which obviously means the Colonel Saunders we all know and love is the EVIL version.

I think it was actually that giant skinned-raccoon who trapped Luke in his lair at the start of "Empire". Somewhere, Hiyao Miyazaki and his army of Tanuki are crying.

I have to meet this other Mike Wood! Because the pointier the goatee, the evil-er.

As for your answer on today's Ramones poll, I only just learned of the existance of Dee Dee Ramone's "Funkee Man" yesterday while watching the Ramones documentary. I was absolutely horrified and delighted by the music video clips they showed. I need to create a DVD compilation of the worst moments of members of my favorite bands, also featuring that awful giant gear themed Feargal Sharkey music video I saw last week.

The disturbing thing about this is that it's SKINNED. What was that hungry that they ate the fur off a raccoon claw? Or are you leaving out that part of the story? Thanks for the gross out, it made me thankful that I have all my appendages.

this does not get less disturbing, though many hours have passed since i last saw it. do we have confirmation on what animal this thing belonged to?? i'm no urban mammal expert but really it's freaking me out and i kind of want to own a taser in case whatever animal this belonged to (or whatever skinned and ate it) comes after me.
